Celebration Time!

We had such a fun time celebrating Landon's birthday! We decided to make it a family day and were lucky enough to have Grandma Wuthrich, Ale, James and Grandma and Grandpa Terry in town to help us celebrate.

We started by going to the aquarium ... which Landon loves! It's is almost impossible to get a picture of him looking at the camera or smiling because he is so focused on the fish around him. I just love watching him point at things and ask "wassat?" which we are fairly certain means "what's that" and that is what it sounds like to him when we ask him, so that is how we are hearing it back.

Even before we got to the exhibits Landon was too busy to look at the camera!

We discovered he is just about the same size as a Gintu Penguin ... although he was a bit anxious that we were going to leave him standing there all by himself :)
Then we came back for dinner and cupcakes and ice cream. Landon had a really, really good time with his cupcake. These pictures can't even demonstrate what the wall and floor looked like when he was done! But I loved how much he just dug in and made the most of the experience. And really ... when else do you get to eat your birthday cake naked and be as messy as you want?

He LOVED getting sang to!
Not sure what to do yet ...
OH ... now I get it :)!
Landon got spoiled rotten with presents :)! He got a car for outside, puzzles, a fridge toy, books and clothes!
This first year with Landon went much too fast for my liking ... it seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital so in awe of this little bundle of sweetness ... and now he is so full of personality and fun! We feel really blessed to have him and still so in awe of him and how he has changed our lives and us for the better!

On Saturday Jeff and I headed to Park City for the day/night to celebrate my birthday while Landon stayed with G&G Terry. It was SO much fun!!! We shopped, ate at the Baja Cantina (our fave) and stayed at a really pretty hotel. It was really relaxing and such a fun birthday surprise. I'm lucky to have Jeff ... he makes me feel really special (and spoiled!)!

At the Baja Cantina:
Sunday morning we headed back home to spend the rest of the day with Landon and our families. It was a busy, fun birthday weekend!

What great pictures! The cake ones are always great. And, he seriously is like a mini-Jeff. Happy Birthday you two!
